The Phil&Teds Alpha Infant Car Seat is a lightweight and narrow car seat suitable from day one up to 13kg (approx. 12-18m). At just 4kg, it’s a breeze to tote around town with its ergonomically shaped handle, especially if you rely on taxis or ride-hailing services. Three’s not a crowd with the Alpha capsule, it’s only 44cm wide so you can easily puzzle in a third car seat in your backseat.
It installs in three different ways: with a 3-point seat belt, the Phil&Teds ISOfix Base or the Phil&Teds Universal Base (bases all sold separately). The base allows you to click and go, and it’s a great option if you own a car; you can install it the base in your car and use the car seat with the seat belt. Perfect for catching a taxi during vacations or taking a relative’s car.
Certified to the European car seat safety standard (ECER44/04), the Alpha features a high side protection with thick EPS foam for impact absorption. It’s also kitted out with a removable insert and liner to support smaller babies, and a fully extendable blackout cover with UPF50+ sun protection for your baby’s comfort.

Will it fit your child?
The Phil&Teds Alpha Infant Car Seat can can be used rear facing for babies from birth to 13kg, with a height of less than 74cm. Their head should be more than 2cm below the top of the car seat. If their head protrudes out of the seat, in an accident, as the child’s body moves diagonally upward with the force of the collision, their head may no longer be supported by the shell of the car seat, with serious consequences.

All of our products are warranted for one year from date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship.
If we agree that the product has such a defect, we will repair or replace it (at our sole discretion) free of charge for you.
A repair may mean we will send you a repair kit or components which you can fit yourself. Don't worry - we’ll only ask you to do it if it’s easy!
Modifying a product invalidates the warranty.
The warranty is ‘return to base’ and not a free in home service. This means you'll need to return the product to us for service, at your cost.
What is not covered under warranty?
Our warranty does not cover claims resulting from misuse, abnormal use, overloading, general wear and tear (including cuts and tears), child outgrowing product, not following instructions, transportation damage (including airline or freight), lack of maintenance, negligence, fading, tyre punctures or corrosion as a result of environmental conditions.
If your product is outside the warranty period or terms, we will happily repair your product for a reasonable charge.
Any loss, consequential loss or damage to any person or property directly or indirectly as a result of using product is, expressly excluded.
The warranty is only valid in your country of purchase (as product specifications differ country to country, we may not have the product or parts).
Please note that tyres may mark certain floors or coverings, so take care when indoors or storing for longer periods. Care for your products with regular cleaning, and keep dry to avoid corrosion or mould.
You can extend the warranty stated above, with the same policy terms, for an additional one year by purchasing the extended warranty option within 30 days of purchase through registering your product.
Cooling off period (for extended warranty only)
If an extended warranty has been purchased; you may contact us within 5 days of purchase, for a refund of the extended warranty. The cost of the item will be returned to you in the same manner of your payment. . Consumers in some regions may also have other rights under relevant local law.
File details of your return by filling in the Phil&Teds Webshop Order Return Request Form. Thereafter, we will be in touch with instructions and address details for your local warehouse.
What we need from you
All claims must be accompanied by a sales receipt to verify the date and place of purchase. Only the original owner is covered by this warranty.

When you register here within 30 days of purchase, we give you a 2 year warranty. This product has a limited returns policy for both change-of-mind and warranty coverage. We encourage you to contact us to ensure that this product is suitable for your family prior to purchase. For more information on our returns policy, visit our Returns Policy page.
We ship within Singapore. We offer:
- standard shipping (4-6 working days); $6 for orders under $49; free for orders over $49
- self-collection from our warehouse*, and
- next-day delivery; $10
Please note that Ninja Van does not deliver our orders on Sundays, Mondays or Public Holidays. Our daily order processing cut-off time is 5pm. All orders after 5pm will be processed the next business day.
Please note: To avoid shipping delays, please provide a local contact number when prompted upon checkout. If there is a failure in delivery, Ninja Van will attempt a second delivery free of charge. If this delivery is unsuccessful, your parcel will be returned to us and we will then contact you - you may choose to do a self-collection from our warehouse at this point, or pay for re-delivery. (Re-delivery costs will vary by parcel dimensions.)
Please note that while we will do everything in our power to use the best service we can find and make sure your delivery runs smoothly, the delivery component is out of our control. You may provide instructions to our courier if no one is home, we'll pass the information on to the courier.
*If you've chosen to collect your order from our warehouse, you can find our address, phone number and opening hours in the order confirmation email. Please note that there won't be someone available to install or demonstrate your purchase.
We ship around the world with DHL Express and Registered Mail. In our experience, DHL Express is an incredibly reliable service provider and shipments are handled by DHL Express personnel from beginning to end. Of all the couriers that we have access to in Singapore, DHL is the fastest shipping option humanly possible. We have found that local in-country postal services (Registered Mail) can be less reliable than DHL Express and delays should be expected.
How much will it cost?
When you reach the checkout page of our website, prices for your selected country will be shown. If you aren't seeing a DHL Express option, please double check your post code and address.
How long will it take?
DHL Express transit times are typically 1-4 business days globally, from dispatch date and we aim to dispatch all orders within 1 business day. Registered Mail transit times are shown at check out, but based on our experience, please expect delays.
Please note that estimated transit times are based on efficient processing at local customs checkpoints. Any delays at customs is solely accountable to the local customs operations and it completely beyond the control of DHL, the postal service provider and Plane Pal Asia.
Will I have to pay import taxes and/or duties upon delivery?
For orders sent by Registered Mail, the shipping cost generally includes prepaid taxes and duties so there should be no additional payment required upon delivery. Please note that each country's local postal service handles import taxes and duties differently and you may be requested to pay additional fees and charges. If you do, please let us know so that we can update this page for the benefit of other customers.
For orders sent by DHL Express, the shipping cost excludes taxes and duties applicable in the destination country and these will be charged to you, by DHL, upon delivery. Please note that import taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of your country's customs department and we have absolutely no control over the amount nor payment methods applied.
