The InfaSecure Safe Grip Clamp is a unique little clip which clamps over the vehicle sash belt (the part that normally goes across your body and over your shoulder), right up next to the seat belt buckle. It’s designed to stop the seat belt from feeding through the buckle (it can help achieve a tighter, more solid installation of your child's car seat), and is a taxi-friendly alternative to a premium or standard locking clip. Ships from Singapore; prices in SGD.
The InfaSecure Safe Grip Clamp can be used in the place of a locking clip (also known as a gated buckle) to lock the lap-portion of the vehicle seat belt, so that you can achieve a tighter, more solid installation of your child's car seat. The SafeGrip works differently from regular locking clips, in that it only clips onto the shoulder belt section of the seat belt (regular locking clips hold the lap and shoulder portions together). This means that: (1) it can be installed without having to unbuckle the vehicle seat belt, making it much quicker for taxi installations, and (2) it can be used to lock the seat belt when using a European belt-routing method to install a car seat (regular locking clips only allow the American belt-routing method).
Assists in a firmer installation of your child restraints and booster seats
Enhances anti-submarining features of booster seats
Comes with installation instructions
Fits conveniently into any bag or pocket
Easier to use than conventional gated-buckle style locking clips
To use the SafeGrip belt clamp with a convertible car seat:
Thread the vehicle seat belt through the belt path on the car seat, then buckle the seat belt.
Pull on the sash belt (the shoulder-portion of the seat belt) to remove the slack from the lap-portion of the seat belt. Pull on the sash belt firmly to get a secure installation - it may help to rock the car seat side to side.
Place the SafeGrip on the sash belt only, as close to the buckle as possible.
Retract any excess sash belt back through the belt path.
Test your installation: the car seat should not move more than an inch on the vehicle seat when you tug on it. If necessary, remove the SafeGrip and repeat from step 2.
The taxi-friendly locking clip has a 12-month warranty.

We believe every child is entitled to safety and we strive to be the leader in our industry. We have a determination to educate our customers and the wider market about best practice and car safety for children.
We are committed to open communication and being available to offer advice and answer questions for all parents and carers. We are dedicated to innovating, developing the best technology, and engineering and manufacturing the safest child restraints and nursery products to keep all children safe.
Our Innovations
We’re constantly at the forefront of innovation, developing unique new ways to make parents’ lives easier, and our precious children safer. Just some of our firsts include;
- The first 0 to 4 compact convertible car seat in Australia.
- The development of the top tether snap keeper clip.
- The first revolving car seat in Australia.
- The first pull-out bath change table solution in Australia.
- The first (and only) 0 to 8 convertible car seat.
- The first folding untethered booster.
- The first Type G child restraint designed to harness children up to 8 years old.
Our world class research and development team have been at the forefront of car safety since 1977, with a combined 120 years experience in the design, development and testing of child restraints.
We’ve also had a very significant influence on the Australian Standard.
We pioneered the current methods of energy attenuation testing (testing typically used in bicycle and motorcycle helmet testing) as part of our ongoing product improvement and research and development programs, even though there was no requirement in the standard for such testing at that time. As a result, it’s now a mandatory performance requirement for all child restraints certified to the Australian Standard.
Our anti-submarining designs played a huge part in shifting the focus onto the critical feature of anti-submarining, which is now classed as one of the key performance requirements for all child restraints, and our Air Cocoon Technology manufacturing techniques have also helped usher in much more strict requirements for side impact protection.
Our History
We’ve changed a lot over the last 60 years, from children’s wear wholesale in the 1950’s, a retail baby store in Eastwood NSW in the late 1960’s, baby furniture and pram wholesale in the 1970’s, and Australian manufacture of tubular and vinyl baby products in the 1980’s.
In 1990, we started selling the Secure range of child restraints, bringing the first compact 0 to 4 convertible car seat to the Australian market. In addition to that, we developed the first multi-recline car seat for the Australian
market.
Infa Products and Secure’ Child Restraints merged in 2007, becoming the single largest Australian owned and operated child restraint company in the country.
Throughout our long history, one thing has remained consistent – providing parents with innovative, high quality, safe products at an affordable price.
Keeping children safe is our utmost priority. As such, we have a strict no-return policy for child safety products as it is not possible to ascertain the complete history (how it was used/if any parts of the product might be compromised) of the product before considering resale.

International Shipping
We ship around the world with DHL Express and Registered Mail. In our experience, DHL Express is an incredibly reliable service provider and shipments are handled by DHL Express personnel from beginning to end. Of all the couriers that we have access to in Singapore, DHL is the fastest shipping option humanly possible. We have found that local in-country postal services (Registered Mail) can be less reliable than DHL Express and delays should be expected.
How much will it cost? When you reach the checkout page of our website, prices for your selected country will be shown. If you aren't seeing a DHL Express option, please double check your post code and address.
How long will it take? DHL Express transit times are typically 1-4 business days globally, from dispatch date and we aim to dispatch all orders within 1 business day. Registered Mail transit times are shown at check out, but based on our experience, please expect delays.
Please notethat estimated transit times are based on efficient processing at local customs checkpoints. Any delays at customs is solely accountable to the local customs operations and it completely beyond the control of DHL, the postal service provider and Plane Pal Asia.
Will I have to pay import taxes and/or duties upon delivery?
For orders sent by Registered Mail, the shipping cost generally includes prepaid taxes and duties so there should be no additional payment required upon delivery. Please notethat each country's local postal service handles import taxes and duties differently and you may be requested to pay additional fees and charges. If you do, please let us know so that we can update this page for the benefit of other customers.
For orders sent by DHL Express, the shipping cost excludes taxes and duties applicable in the destination country and these will be charged to you, by DHL, upon delivery. Please note that import taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of your country's customs department and we have absolutely no control over the amount nor payment methods applied.
