Choosing the right child restraint for your child
Urban Kanga
(AIS price $279, U.P $289)
The Urban Kanga is an ultra-lightweight, easy to use car seat which works well in school buses. It is a forward facing restraint, suitable for children from 9kg to 18kg (approximately 4 years old). Due to operational limitations, AIS allows one Urban Kanga per bus, on a first-come-first-served basis.

RideSafer Delight
(AIS price $219, U.P $229)
The RideSafer Delight travel vest is a wearable child restraint designed for children aged 3+ and weighing over 10kg. For small/young children, it does not provide as much protection as the Urban Kanga, but it is the next-safest alternative.
The RideSafer is a harness restraint which correctly positions the adult seat belt over the strongest parts of the child's body. It also includes an optional crotch strap which mitigates the risk of submarining - where the child's body slides out from under the lap part of the seat belt. The vest includes energy deforming metal hardware and padded seat belt guides which help absorb crash forces away from your child's body in the event of an accident.

Mifold Comfort
(AIS price $45, U.P $69)
The mifold booster seat is designed for Year 1+ and weighing over 15kg. It is a belt-positioning booster seat which correctly positions the adult seat belt over the strongest parts of the child's body. Once children are able to use the booster seat themselves it's a great option for older children and it won't be outgrown - it will last your child until they're ready to graduate to the adult seat belt alone (typically around 10-12 years of age). For younger children who still need the Bus Attendant's assistance to put on their seat belt, we strongly recommend the RideSafer, as Bus Attendants find this much easier to use - reducing delays and the risk of misuse.
